Nobody should be surprised that Martinez schooled Chavez jr every single round leading into the 12. Losing 30 seconds of an entire fight does not warrant a rematch. Too many other good fights to be made.

Not to mention we don't want to hear any more excuses about Chavez being drained and weak etc. Move up to SMW, LHW, CW, or STFU.....

Just saw the fight and yep no point of a rematch, The KD doesn't savage the beating or anything really for me... The gap is too wide.

I'm glad that even the spanish networks are admitting that both Canelo and Chavez Jr. are coddled boxers. Many view what happened last night between Chavez and Martinez as a good thing for boxing and what ultimately happens when you put an elite fighter against one that is manufactured into a champion. Perception sells a lot of fights in boxing but the truth comes out in the ring. Entertaining fight but this is the fate these protected fighters will face when they finally step up in competition.

This is the FIRST TIME in Chavez Jr's ENTIRE CAREER that he faces a REAL TOP OF THE LINE fighter & got SCHOOLED & picked apart for 11 straight rounds & the ONLY round he won was the 12th when Martinez got careless & got caught with a shot, but Martinez got up & traded with Chavez Jr(did NOT hold like Chavez Jr claims) the rest of the round to win a LOPSIDED U Decision..That's what happens to fighters like Chavez when they have their road to a world title EASILY PAVED(by scumbags like Sulaiman) & are fed tomato cans & class C fighters & then when they face the ELITE they loose BADLY.. Kudos to Jr for let it all hang out & trying to get the KO he so much NEEDED at the end, but it still doesn't take away the fact HE IS NOT at Martinez's level & after a beating like that, there is NO NEED for a rematch!!Jr is just gonna get ANOTHER pounding..

Which is exactly why you don't write articles.... you'd suck horribly at it.
