Ottke beat almost everybody. Yeah he had a couple of very debateable decisions towards the end of his career, but before that he had some excellent wins that includes Glenn Johnson and Brewer.

The reason nobody likes Ottke (myself included) is because he hit like a girl and never fought outside of Germany, certainly gaining the odd crooked decision off the back of it, Reid in particular. But sadly, i have to agree when you say Collins was taylor made for him. The truth is, he was, and yes Ottke was a defensive masterclass, annoyingly so!
But he was also one of the most outstanding amateurs ever to come out of Europe so his boxing pedigree can't be denied. Don't get me wrong, Collins would give him hell from beginning to end, but Ottke would take most of Steve's whirlwind assaults on his arms and gloves, while picking him off with pata-cake counters.
