Not the best, but I love the way he does it...

    Lamont Peterson.

To answer your question its quite clearly Manny Pacquaio, Lucas Matthysse, Rakhim Chakiev.
Guys who fight guys their own size, can cut a ring off, know how to move their head & actually have a defense.

Best pressure fighters, lol we have gone from Ricky Hatton & the likes to Rios, boxing really is in a sad state.
It really is...pressure fighting doesn't exist as it once did anymore

JMM? Really? The guy who is only effective when his opponent comes forward?

Pac couldn't cut the ring off against Mosley, he shouldn't be mentioned.

You sir don't know what the **** you're talking about. Rios cuts off the ring wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than Manny. If there ever was an elite fighter who couldn't cut off the ring Pacman fits the bill perfectly.

People on here don't know **** about foot work if they are saying Pac can't cut off the ring.

Pac has the best footwork in boxing and if your opponent (Mosley) is in flat out survival mode and your winning every round than theres no point in wasting energy trying to cut off the ring. Pac still applied pressure and ****ed up Mosley's face more than he's ever been ****ed up

Effective pressure = volume punching, footwork, angles and power. Nobody even comes close to PAC

Tim Bradley and Lamont Peterson are the two most skilled pressure fighters off the top of my head. Brandon Rios is a monster of course.

Salido, Matthysse, yeah, that's all that's coming to mind. Sad to see my favorite style of fighting disappearing.

Until the Peterson fight Bradley was considered a high volume pressure fighter, and he is certainly one of best in the sport at it, whether you think that says something about pressure fighters or not is a different argument. Bradley is very good at cutting off the ring, setting up shots, and beating people up inside.

Give it a year or two and Scott Quigg will be up there....

There actually seems to be a lack of top quality out and out pressure fighters today thinking about it.

Rios is big & strong, hits hard and keeps coming, he's durable too. He dont cut the ring off well though and takes too much on his way in

Miguel Cotto hasnt done the pure pressure fighter routine in a while but He knew how to cut off a ring and how to pressure behind a jab and solid defence, work the body over when he got there too. I think against the right opponent he could still do it but as a fan of his im glad he's gone more "Boxer" of late.
