  • Comments Thread For: D. Garcia on Victor Ortiz's Return, Malignaggi-Maidana

I caught up with trainer Danny Garcia to get the latest with his star pupil, former welterweight champion Victor Ortiz. The 24-year old Ortiz is coming off of a 4th round knockout loss at the hands of Floyd Mayweather on September 17th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas yet still has the possibility of a prosperous career given the time that he still has on his side as well as his obvious talents as a fighter.

    Stay on HBO:BAD cards Ortiz.

You're done as a PPV attraction.

i'm sure one win and perhaps berto's belt and he'd be in talks of a pacquiao fight.

that said, there's rematches with berto and maidana or fights with alexander or malignaggi. lots of good possibilities for ortiz, can't wait to hear who he faces next.

maybe not ppv but Vic can be on hbo/showtime vs any good guys as he's still young/hungry(?) exciting to view, and a lot of $$ to be made...good luck to Victor

2 or 3 more good HBO BAD events and he will be close to a PPV fighter

Ortiz vs Alexander great fight, hope it happens. These are the type of match-ups boxing fans want to see, not crap like Bradley-Casamayor.

Wouldn't mind seeing Ortiz-ALexander in February or March, and Malignaggi-Maidana in February as well. The winners could fight again in May or June.

Would like to see Berto put his title on the line against Mike Jones or Kell Brook.

He's not done he was just cheated by PBF who felt Ortiz's power and took the easy way out......it is what it is. Ortiz was on his way to koing Mayweather. Pac will finish the job Ortiz started though
