    REDS DUO SHORTLISTED FOR BALLON D'OR

    Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard have both been shortlisted for this year's prestigious Ballon d'Or award.
    The Reds duo were initially named in France Football Magazine's list of 50 nominees and their hopes of landing the prize remain alive after it was whittled down to 30 on Sunday.

    Gerrard and Torres both impressed as Liverpool reached the last four of the Champions League while the Spaniard scored the winner as his country beat Germany to claim Euro 2008 glory.

    There are 11 Barclays Premier League players in total who have made the cut with Portugal star Ronaldo the Reds players' main rival to win the award on December 2.

    Neither will get it unfortunately, I like Torres more than C.Ronaldo but C.Ronaldo will get it, last season was amazing for Ronaldo regardless of how he looked in the Euros. It will got down to probably Casillas, Villa, and Ronaldo. Why Iniesta isn't on that list is beyond me, he's one of the best midfielder's in the world and looked great last season especially with Spain during the Euros

      I'm thinking torres, ronaldo, messi and villa are the front runners.
      villa is a machine.torres is my fav player, and messi plays for my favorite team.

        If Messi was healthy he would be a front runner for sure but he was hurt too much, but it kinda shows how good he is, even playing as little as he did he looked amazing.

                  Why would he? ladyboy hasn't done **** since May and pissed on his own fans all summer. I don't think the football fraterntity would take too kindly to that.
