they aren't 'taking' over boxing, they're taking over the weaker weight divisions (168+) .

If you're an American and you're an athletic, powerful guy-- you can make millions of dollars in the NFL/NBA/MLB/NHL. Even if you sit on the bench you you will make hundreds of thousands.

Hence, middleweight+ more and more come from countries where people are tall, but have less access/exposure to major american sports.

Or could it be that the divisions are considered weak because the long line of US hype jobs keep getting beat?

Though Froch is more of a hypejob than Ward or Dirrell to be honest.

People need to understand the fact that the cold war is over and eastern Europeans are changing the face of pro boxing...and it will never be the same again due to the increased competition as a result of them being able to compete at pro level.

            maybe that.
but to be honest, the higher divisions don't get anymore hype anywhere else in the world except Europe.

                lol absurd excuse, nothing more.

1)Those sports and leagues have always existed

                2) The same could be said about any other country. As an example we'll take Russia.
Combat Sambo is their National Sport
                Hockey
                Soccer
                Weightlifters
                Powerlifters
                Worlds Strongest Man comps
                Wrestlers

All filled with extremely athletic, big, strong guys ........but but but but had they done boxing they'd all be heavyweight champions just like your imaginary NFL heavyweight champions.

You sir are just a sore loser.
