Unpaid court fines that left former heavyweight titleholder Herbie Hide with a warrant for his arrest have been paid, according to BBC News.
Hide owed £1,515, or more than $2,400, after an assault conviction in June 2011. A majority of that was compensation for his victim. Yet Hide told the court he was unable to pay.
“I am a boxer. My work is fighting, and I’m trying to get a big fight… but I can’t sign on, and I’m not fighting,” he was quoted as saying in February by BBC News.
