  • Comments Thread For: Kessler Preps For Stieglitz, Eyes Ward on Neutral Ground

Former two-time champion Mikkel Kessler (44-2, 33KOs) is already training for his next fight, scheduled on April 14th in Copenhagen against WBO super middleweight king Robert Stieglitz (41-2, 23KOs). Kessler is not taking Stieglitz for granted and expects a tough fight.

This may be harder than some ppl think, Stieglitz isn't as bad as ppl say and Kessler has not fought in some time.

Kessler is not a two-time champ. Rather 4 time:

        WBA: over Siaca
        WBC: over Beyer
        WBA: over Sartison
        WBC: over Froch.

I hope and expecs him to add a WBO belt against Stieglitz which hé should do in style if he is injuryfree. After that I'd so much like to see him fight Ward in Copenhagen.

Hope Kessler finally gets Calzaghe's belt that he fought for in 2007. Afterwards he will have thin air in the SMW division. Doubt he can beat Ward, but one never knows.

                Ward embarresses Kessler.

I have nothing against Kessler and he'll pretty much fight anyone but he has to get over the Ward fight. Seriously, Kessler has fought a lot of fights at home, granted Ward's never left but he won the Super Six and he's a unified Champ, he doesn't really have to go anywhere.
