        Oh, man. Top 40 and NO less.

        Anyone who can beat Jimmy Mclarnin and Tony Canzoneri 2 times each alone HAS to be at the very very very very least Top 40.

        Top 40 is way too low for Barney Ross IMO. Way too low.

            Oddly enough, both of them died just a few years later and only a couple of weeks apart. They grew up together in Chicago as street hoods and Ross testified as a character witness at Ruby's trial.

              Definitely. Easily top 50. Those saying top 40 is not enough are getting carried away a bit IMO. Not saying he is not maybe even top 20 but boxing has a looooong history, and I am sure one can respectably find 40 arguably better fighters.

                  He doesn't make top 20 IMO but I wouldn't think you'd keep listing for too long before Ross name came up, hell of a fighter.
