1911's are heavy and not a good startup gun imo. i've had a few. they're alright. people always just say get a 1911 or glock or beretta because it's trendy.
i can help you pick one. i'm a gun nut and i've been shooting since i was a kid.
if you want you can meet me up at my gun range in sfv , i have to renew my membership anyway. i can bring a few of mine and they have tons of guns there and you can test fire a bunch of different ones before you buy one.Comment

A marine friend brought me a 1911 3 years ago and was selling it at 5 000 pesos which was around $100 during that time. He said a friend marine of his just arrived from jolo and got it from some dead abu sayyaf.
