  • who did andre ward beat to deserve the n 9 spot in the ring's p4p?

he took the title from kessler , who got his ass spanked by calzaghe in 2007 . don't get me wrong , it was a solid win but nothing too " flashy flash "

title defences :allan green , a guy who never won a title . on top of that he lost to Edison Miranda in 2007 , and was KTFO'd by grandpa glenn johnson after that

saiko bika : lost to bute in 2007 , and to freaking mendy ( DQ ) before fighting ward

artur abraham : exposed against direll , and outclassed against froch . the guy is just too small , and not good at all

to summarize everything = after beating kessler , ward faced a bute leftover ( bika ) , allan green and a guy who was 1-2 in his last three fights ( abraham )

so why is he ranked that high ? why is everyone acting like ward has the best resume at 168 ?

Uh, because Bute doesn't have Abraham or Kessler on his RESUME, most impressive name on BUTE resume is who? Andrade? Bika?

Tell Bute to fight BETTER COMPETITION then MAYBE he will crack the P4P List but fighting guys like Mendy and Brinkley IS NOT GOING TO GET IT DOWN

also the fact that Ward has DOMINATED all 3 of his Super 6 Opponents, those matches wasn't even close and coming into that Tournament Abraham and Kessler and Froch was more of the Favorites because most people didn't know Dirrell or Ward and all of those guys were Veterans and Title HOLDERS going into that Tournament

Nice try though trying to discredit Ward but...YOU FAILED!

      It's because he's a "slick" African-American.

Well I think the fact that he has never really lost a round and the Kessler win got him in there, and once your there, normally you may go up and down a few places but you stick around until you lose or if you really fight some poor competition for a sustained period of time. For me he belongs, in Kessler he dominated a guy, who is a tremendous fighter, but I guess we will find out very soon what ward is like against froch who could also be considered just outside the top 10.

If Froch beat Kessler he'd have that spot on the list, BUT he did'nt!
