Now that's just both generalizing and stereotyping. Every ethnic creed has its bandwagons. What you fail to acknowledge however is that rabid fanbases are rarely if ever based upon being the more technically sound fighter. Barrera, morales and marquez are all more technically superior to julio cesar chavez but mexican fans will always be more loyal to chavez given the option. Ray robinson was the best fighter to ever live yet during his time he never had as many fans as joe louis or muhammad ali.

Donaire is not better than Manny. Donaire was constantly fighting guys naturally smaller then him(weight wise, I'm not talking about height). And Pacquiao clearly has beaten the much more skillful fighters in my opinion. I think 140-147 is more stacked with better boxers in my opinion.

That last fighter Donaire choose to fight was bull****.(And I heard it was Donaire who picked that fight, not his promoter) He cherry-picked a much smaller fighter moving up in weight who came only to survive against the fighter who outweighed him probably by like 15-20 pounds fight night.

Even some of the most die hard Pac haters on this board give at least an iota of credit towards Pac. Karceno hasn't. He always has excuses on why Manny wins (recently he has been justified though). He has always been a Manny hater from the beginning. Look at the article, he basing it off of pictures that have different angles and lighting conditions. Boxing writer Gabriel Montoya has called him out numerous times on his Floyd bias. Steve Kim also has a problem with him because Karceno would claim that he schooled both Steve and Gabriel with so-called "facts". Whenever Gabe would school him on a fact, Karceno would say that he knows more because he knows Nate Jones.

De la Hoya, who was forced by Pacquiao to quit after an 8-round beating in 2008, made the claim while pushing again for a third fight between the Filipino boxer and Mexican champion Juan Manuel Marquez.

"For me, Juan Manuel won the first two fights and he's the only one who succeeded in creating problems for Pacquiao, a fighter who has always forced his opponents, including myself, to lose weight and leave everything on the scale," De la Hoya said in Boxing Scene.com.

De la Hoya, who owns majority of Golden Boy Promotions (GBP), claims Pacquiao has always forced his opponents to drop down to uncomfortable weights to make the fights.

In their 2008 fight, De la Hoya worked hard to make the 147-pound limit just to face Pacquiao. This, he claims, was the reason he lost the bout.
