For some reason a significant proportion of Australian fighters lack the courage, determination, confidence, and/or self-respect to do the same.

That is why as soon as they are gone nobody will talk of Green and Mundine, unlike our great fighters of the recent past like Kostya and Fenech. As soon as they hang them up, noone will give a ****. They will have absolutely no legacy to speak of.
It's a shame that Mundine and Green get more attention than Katsidis. It's somewhat similar in the UK, where Froch fights the best (win or lose) and yet gets hardly any attention compared to Haye and Khan, who have been rather selective with their choice of opposition.

    Is Vic popular over there?

Not at all. Same old story.

He didn't look great last night Vic. To be fair apparently he broke his left hand in training, and he got the job done, but he looked pretty ordinary.

Barcelona was a tough greasy customer as well. The amount of low blows that guy threw made me cringe.

Yeah, he threw a few low ones. Not a bad opponent at all. Tough guy.
