I don't know how many hours in San Andreas I spent messing around.

It's been a long time since I have played GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas.

Going from memory, I would pick Vice City.

GTA 3 was the most revolutionary game of all time hands down.

But San Andreas is a better play.

GTA 3 better game for what it did for gaming in general, San Andreas better game in all other departments though.

It was almost totally free. You could basically do anything and everything. I loved when you get swolled up on by the local gangs like 3 dudes and you still bang on them.

Also...

Jetpack, parachute, planes, quadbikes, car modding.

The more I think about it, San Andreas is miles ahead of any other.

When I found out that you couldn't get a parachute in GTA4 I lost all respect for it. San Andreas for the win! GTA3 was groundbreaking and Vice City and San Andreas just took it to the next level. They failed with GTA4.

That's a huge statement.

I don't think they failed with it. They just took a more deep approach to it. They wanted to introduce a higher level of graphics and realism, mixed with a deeper story.

I am sure the next GTA will be a mixture of SA and 4.

To bad #2 was the best one of the series BY FAR.

3 sucks in hindsight. Vice City was more about the enjoyable world than the actual game play. San Andreas was vice city for black people (except ****tier) and GTA IV was bleh.
