  • Comments Thread For: Pacquiao Starts Sparring, Intense Training For Rios

Fighter of the Decade Manny Pacquiao, determined to regain his stature as an elite fighter, began intense training at his General Santos Gym on Thursday for his showdown against the young and exciting Brandon “Bam Bam” Bios in Macau on Nov. 24.

Pacquiao didn’t wait for the arrival of celebrated trainer Freddie Roach or strength and conditioning coach Justin Fortune, with whom the Filipino ring icon has renewed ties after Roach fired Alex Ariza, to begin sparring.

Roach is expected to arrive in BoxingScene.com/Manila on Tuesday after he works the corner of Puerto Rico’s Miguel Cottto, who faces Delvin Rodriguez of the Dominican Republic in Orlando, Florida on Saturday, while Fortune is expected two days earlier.

He better keep this up, i've been questioning his dedication to the sport the last two years..it just seemed like he'd genuinely did half his training and expected the same results he used to get.

Pacquiao def started slacking after the Clottey fight. It showed on 24/7 during Margarito he was skipping some stuff, then it sowed alot during Mosley fight with cramps. He showed some fire again in the 4th fight vs Marquez BUT he got knockded down for the first time against Marquez then out in front if americans

Mayweather-Canelo was a huge event but a dull fight. This fight should be all action for as long as it lasts.
