Why is are the boxing fans and media so apologetic that Wladmir won?

Is it possible that deep down inside, the boxing world (the fans, the media, the industry in general) was really hoping that the Klitschko's hold of the meaningless heavyweight so-called "championship" would finally end and be taken over by anybody else?

Let's face it, the heavyweight division is supposed to be the premier division. But the Klitschko's boringness - plus the fact that everyone knows that they win only because they are much bigger but definitely not better - have put that division in the gutter.

It really seems like there is a real overall feeling of being let down among boxing fans everywhere.

Most boxing fans wanted a change in the division because it's been the same for so long. When someone explosive comes along like Haye with a high KO percentage and who is in shape then they get excited and with all the pre-fight hype they think he can do it. Then it just turns out to be another boring fight and everyone is just left with more boring HW fights in the future, that's why people feel let down.

Again, Wlad is a decent boxer and very effective at what he does. But in no way does that change the fact that he is boring to watch and that the division is wank.
