  • Comments Thread For: Alfredo Angulo Provides Update on His Eye Injury

Los Angeles, CA - "I want to thank all of my fans for their support in the wake of my eye injury this past weekend. I have undergone various medical examinations which I am glad to report revealed no broken bones. California State Athletic Commission physician Dr. Pearlman Hicks has informed me that I only suffered a contusion and my eye specialist thankfully sees no permanent injury to my eye.

Glad to hear the eye is okay but seriously, drop the whole thumb conspiracy, you're only going to lose fans and respect from it. Hopkins vs Pascal 2? That was a thumb in the eye. Yours was a clear punch.

I literally just finished watching the fight it was a thumb that did get in the eye. But Angulo took a lot of punches in this fight.

But I have lost no respect for Angulo.

How ever Lara is a good fighter. But if he fights any one with power and good technique is is going to sleep.

The replay clearly showed him get thumbed! Angulo was on his way to a KO victory...too bad!

It was a great fight & Angulo was doing good as the fight was up for grabs & good thing there's no permanent damage on Angulo's eye.. But to say it was thumb is just unsportsmanlike when it was clear it was a straight left hand PUNCH! Stop making excuses & accept defeat like a real man!

After Lara unifies the division he will rematch this perro and KO him in DOS ROUNDS for these false accusations!

His eye was damaged at the end of the round before he turned his back. Watch closely and you will see him wince after taking a nice left. The following round was just the icing on the cake. No thumb. Thumbless gloves. His corner was the one crying for a thumb, never Angulo.
