  • Comments Thread For: Frank Warren, Frank Maloney Clash Over McAllister Loss

Two of the top British promoters, Frank Warren and Frank Maloney, have exchanged words over Lee McAllister's seven round TKO loss last Saturday night in Scotland. After injuring his left arm, junior welterweight McAllister, who was being dominated, sat on his stool and refused to move forward with his bout against European champion Denis Shafikov.

"I like to see the good in boxing"

That is coming from someone whose response to the Haye/Chisora situation can be summed up as "Here's some more bad **** which has went on in the past and present, let's drag it all up again to shw how rotten boxing is and therefore the carry on in Germany wasn't bad in retrospect".

This is a man who in his weekly column for a national newspaper (one of the few right now) spent the entire main article talking about Carl Froch's betting controversy. I'm sure that won't contribute to an already almost non existent amount of trust in boxing from everyday people at all.

Frank Warren always tries to make others look bad. He can't open his mouth without dissing someone else in the sport. He's done it with every fighter that has seen sense and left him to go on to greater things.

Maloney said what everyone was thinking. Why quit in a world title fight? It was only after the hospital scans that he couldve known about the extent of the injury so he can't be blamed for being heartless or whatever Warren wants to call him.

At the end of the day we all know what Frank Warren is all about.
