Bob Arum turns 80, has promoted over 11,500 Boxing cards, what did he do for boxing?

    One of Arum's greatest accomplishments, IMO, was getting Michael Carbarjal a million dollar payday in the early 90's (Carbajal was a Junior Flyweight).

    Even now, that's damn near impossible, even if both guys are superstars......you just aren't seeing that in any fight 118 and below.

      First fighter he ever promoted was Muhammed Ali in 1966....so he has been promoting for 45 years.

        I didn't know Ali was his first client.

        Anyway, 45 years makes it seem even more unlikely. You still haven't posted a link as to where you got that figure from.

          Bob has had a lot of influence on the fighters of today. HE turned them all into greedy cherrypicking bastards.
