  • Comments Thread For: Mundine Targets Cotto and Canelo After McKart Bout

BoxingScene.com recently caught up with former champion Anthony Mundine who makes his U.S. debut later tonight against Bronco McKart at the Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, NV. The fight will be televised by WealthTV pay-per-view.

The former professional rugby player said that he plans on fighting in the U.S. for the foreseeable future. He also said that he is not interested in rematches against countrymen Daniel Geale and Danny Green who have both campaigned to avenge their losses to Mundine. [Click Here To Read More]

Anthony mundine should be drugs tested as he is clearly not in a sober frame of mind. My guess would be crystal meth , heroine and cocaine all in a oner. Cotto alvarez ad mayweater would kill him

I have no idea why the media even report his statements at this stage.

I hear he's taking a Mayweather fight as a tune-up for a fourth Sam Soliman bout.

                This

Mundine has been a joke in the boxing world for a while now

He could barely handle very limited ex-rugby league player Garth Woods at 154, infact Woods made him look weak as piss

Cotto, Canelo and Mayweather would obliterate him, and I'd be surprised if he'd make it a couple of rounds with them

Not that I believe for one second he wants to fight them, this is the guy who blatantly ducked the likes of Golovkin, Kesser and Geale rematches, and Trout just recently to fight a bunch of South American cabbies and old guys like McKart.

Ever since his cum eye injury, he's been all smoke and mirrors looking to make as much as he can without fighting anyone of note, such as agreeing to fight the Australian contender winner, and now this "Mundine goes to America" plot, while all the while mentioning the top names in the divisions he fought in to fool fans into believing a big fight is always on the horizon which of course has never been true

This is just another similar ploy by him and his greedy manager, he is just throwing out the names Mayweather, Canelo, Cotto to help sell the McKart fight to australians and get them interested in yet another meaningless fight, who are mostly ignorant to boxing and might just believe he could fight Mayweather. McKart fight is $50 PPV in Australia, that tells you everything

I loved the advertisement before the fight.
"Anthony Mundine, the only man that can matchup and beat pound for pound fighter Floyd Mayweather."

I know when I think of what it takes to get a fight with Floyd or Canelo, it's beating Branco.

This clown could have fought Trout at 154 if he was serious about getting in the picture to fight either Cotto or Canelo. He didn't, just like he refused to fight Golovkin when he claimed he wanted to fight Sturm and the best middleweights. It's all about selling his **** fights (like McKart) to Australia
