It's crazy. The kid is 23 years old. Struggled with PDL and has only been a LW champ for one fight, and now everyone is asking why he isn't jumping to 140, already?

- A lot of these posters are Pacquiao fans, who didn't complain when Pacquiao was weighing 16 lbs heavier fighting as a 130 lb'er, weighing 145 on fight nights.

- Matthysse gains 13 lbs overnight, but no one is crying about him moving up to welterweight.

- Matthysse hasn't beaten anyone worth mentioning at 140, besides Alexander, who isn't even special. Yet he is the next Carlos Monzon. Broner beats the same level of fighter but he is just a can-crusher and needs to step it up

Why these types of standards for different fighters. It's bad enough with just the double standards.

and judah and alexander are light years ahead of anybody broner has fought,nor was he even favored to win those fights.matthyse gets praise for the perfomance he put on against tough foes

there's no rush to move to 140 because he's only 23 years old as you mentioned, but I think it's clear to everyone there is really no one at 135 to fight. I mean if Ricky Burns is the biggest name available that tells you something.

People see how many big names are at 140 so it's natural to want him to go there which he will eventually.

Because he's annoying as heck and he will be criticized until he fights somebody whom people think can beat him. Then if he beats that guy they'll move onto the next guy they think can beat him. Rinse and repeat

Good example was when he faced demarco, he demolished him and people are waiting for the next guy to get behind.

Him fighting the rees of the worlds is not doing himself any favors, and only people that should be next is Vasquez or Burns if either or both of them he should move up to 140 there is no one at 135 NO ONE there to fight for him, he can move up and fight some lower level 140 for a few fights and will get more respect then if he stays at 135 and doesnt fight vasquez/burns.

Broner and Reese both weighed 150 on fight night! How is he clearly to big? if that's the case than so is all the fighters we talk about. All of them are coming 15-20lbs heavier than the actual weight they are fighting at!

this is a guy who couldnt even make 140 just 2 fights later and now of all sudden its no way possible he weighs over 150.
