if he did receive 15m for cotto, then he will get 25m for marg since it did good as ppv numbers at least and margo got less than than cotto, manny has also increased in stature
in post 39 you say that manny gaurantee is 12 millions dollars and then in post 45 you say that manny gaurantee is 7.5 millions.

With each buy costing $54.95, Pacquiao-Margarito PPV hits of 1.5-million translate to $82 million.

From total PPV sales, Pacquiao stands to get about 12.5 percent of the projected $82-million amount, or $10 million.
Fifty percent of all PPV revenues go to the cable or satellite providers, so you can't look at the total revenue numbers as a gauge of how much profit is earned.

PPV King for matching Mayweather's 2nd highest buyrate?

        Whatever you say...

Now there's a real PPV King. Oscar De La Hoya.

Even at 30 percent, Floyd ended up making $30 million in that fight with the PPV revenue he earned. That is still more than Pac will earn against Margarito, even if he ends up making $25 million as Arum claims (and, based on his history, is likely a lie). So, what is your useless point in arguing about who makes more money? None of it is going in my pocket, so I really don't give a damn what either one of them makes.

So Floyd did 2.3M in the UK and US?

LOS ANGELES — Manny Pacquiao has been asured of getting over a billion pesos after early tracking figures showed he can get an additional $10 million from pay-per-view sales from his action-packed win over Antonio Margarito.

Estimates showed that the fight may have registered between 1.4 million to 1.5 million buys, his promoter Bob Arum said on Tuesday.

Pacquiao had been guaranteed a paycheck of $15 million and add the $10 million from PPV, that would add up to $25 million or about P1.075 billion at P43 per 1 US dollar.

“I am very pleased,” said Arum over the phone from his Las Vegas office.

“Numbers say we’re going to hit (between) 1.4 million to 1.5 million buys,” said Pacquiao’s adviser Mike Koncz.

Pacquiao’s previous best in PPV sales was posted when he beat up the legendary Oscar De La Hoya in December, 2008, a match that generated 1.4 million buys.

Koncz said the public’s never-ending craving for Pacquiao, the intrigue that surrounded his turbulent training camp in the Philippines, the style of the two fighters and him being a congressman, were the reasons why there was a surge in PPV sales.

“People wanted to know how Manny would handle boxing and being a congressman at the same time,” said Koncz.

While the PPV sales were phenomenal, the gate attendance at the venue that was reconfigured to accommodate 70,000 did not live up to its lofty billing after only 41,734 trooped there.

People tend to forget a lot of boxing fans wanted to boycot this fight coz of margarito the cheater. this fight couldd even go higher if he margarito's reputation wasn't diminished. It all comes down to pacs star power now.
just to add: when you compare fighters ppv, stocks go up and down in business same as in boxing. You have to look at there last fights to know who is hotter and making the cash flow. floyd's last fight was with Mosely and pac's was with Margarito are their current fights. You look at there last fight to see there current or present market value. If pac goes over 1.4 million. Then it's common sense that pac is the king of ppv for the current active fighters. Pac is the face of boxing.

To the haters, that say mosely wasn't even a draw. Mosely can bring the house down in staple center. He has is own fans that help Floyd get that 1.4ppv buys. When Mosely fights there it's a sell out. Margarito in the other hand, a lot of people hate him and wanted to boycot his fight with pac coz he is a cheater. because of that it could even go higher. But for some reason pac's magic has gone up and up and still made 1.4 minimum! Pac is the man =)
