  • So is Pac an 8 division world champion or not?

According to the average *******, and Freddy Roach, nobody will ever be able to be "8 division" world champ again.

Yet he didn't win the title at 54', he won it at 50'.

Now he's JMW champ because of some creative rulemaking by Arum, but now he can't fight anyone at 154?

So is he 8 division champ or not?

This is worse than when people said he was LW champ, or WW champ at 145'.

In reality, isn't he more like 4 division champ?

Lets be honest with ourselves here.

"I'm an 8 division champ, I just can't be bothered with fighting anyone in the division I"m champion in, without a catchweight"

        - 8 division world champion Manny Pacquiao

I guess technically on paper he is, just like how DLH>>>>Sturm on paper.

He is still a great fighter but its not a very meaningful title win for him.

It's 7 at the least, which is still very good.

He's an 'eight division belt holder' - big difference between that and an eight division CHAMPION.

                  champion

                  cham·pi·on

                  –noun

                  1. a person who has defeated all opponents in a competition or series of competitions, so as to hold first place.
