Martinez is too big for Pacquiao but at 147 lbs this fight could be done. I'm sure Floyd will not fight Sergio and you know the reason why, supposively a good fight to decide who's #2.

Martinez top lb 4 lb, but limited options
Martinez has definitely proved in his last 3 fights over Pavlik, Williams, and Dzinziruk, all very good opponents, that he is up there with Pac and May.Pac and May had previously proved their worth as great fighters, and now Martinez has done the same. Although I agree Martinez may deserve some type of easier fight if he can't get a big money fight, Manfredo is ridiculous, and makes Mosely, even at this point, look like a world beater. Manfredo should be a 20-1 underdog, as his last fight against a good opponent was vs. Bika a couple yrs ago, and he got destroyed.
That being said, I can understand why Pac's team wouldnt want to face a Martinez, but they bring this talk on themselves by his continuing moving up in weight. Pac should be fighting at 140, but hes welter champ who won a jr middle belt in his last fight, so of course their will be demand for that fight even though Martinez is about 25 lbs more than Pac naturally (as Pac's natural weight is 145-150 and Martinez is 170-175).
It's also funny how Martinez camp has targeted Mayweather as a likelier option. Mayweather won't fight Pac for a purse that would be 2-3 times more than what he'd get for a martinez fight. There's no way in hell Mayweather would fight Martinez.
Pac will fight Marquez next at 147 b/c Arum wants Pac's moneytrain to keep rollin. Mayweather will wait for that fight to be signed then sign to fight a Spadafora, Malignaggi, fight, and all floyd fans will defend him say he needs a tuneup - which is bs. great fighters dont need tuneups - Ill point to Leonard moving up 2 divisions to fight lb 4 lb king Hagler after not fightin for 3 yrs, and leave it at that. If Pac and May ever fight, it will be May 2012 at the absolute earliest. Theres so much $$$ in the fight that I still believe it has a decent chance to eventually get made, as both fighters will take home 50 mil +.
As for Martinez, unfortunatley his options at this point are limited. He has too hope he can get Cotto-Margarito winner in the fall, although he probably wont b/c Arum is setting Cintron up for that fight. He'll also go after Chavez Jr., which could make him some $, but again, Arum wont do that. More likely that his options are Angulo and Kirkland.

There were recent concerns whether Pavlik could even make 160, he looked destined for SMW, and has fought as high as 170.
Also..... Paul Williams ?

I think PBF would be scared to death to ge in the ring with Martinez . Plus the money wouldn't be near as good , PBF wants nothing but money . PBF is only interested in two things retirng with his "0" and making money . He doesn't care to prove anything about his ability to fight the best . Pbf is a great waste of talent , his not retiring is just keeping the water muddy . There are some new stars coming up and soon people will grow tired of Floyd and his foolishness .
