Victor Ortiz suffered a loss to underdog Josesito Lopez last night at the Staples Center and in the process spoiled Golden Boy Promotions’ plans to have him fight against Alvarez in a Showtime pay-per-view showdown.

There are no 'name' opponents left for Canelo to fight. No one is available for September 15th between 147 & 160.

There are some good fighters but no one the general public would recognise for an Independence Day PPV card. I feel sorry for the Ginger one. That date is doomed. Leave it for Chavez-Martinez & fight Kirkland 6 or so weeks later.
