I have got a fight coming up in just under 3 weeks ive stepped up my training, ive not began to feel sharper yet but infact more sluggish im not sure if its because im doing to much or not enough.

    Running 3/4 miles
    9x3 mins on boxing bag

tues- 3 mile run (17-18 mins)

    Boxing training (1.5 hours)
    usually
    1.6 mile warm up run
    6-8 rounds bag
    6-8 rounds skip
    exercises to finish

    weds-
    6x 2-3mins sparring

    sprints

    strength and conditioning

    9x3 bag

    4 rounds shadow

    thrus- 3 mile run

    boxing training (2 hours)

    fri- sprints

    strength and conditioning

    4 shadow

    9x3 bag

    sat- rest

    sun- 3 mile run

    boxing training (1.5 hours)

saturday is usually a rest day however the past 2 weeks i havent had a full day rest but my training was split between friday and saturday and i sparred saturday.

ive had today off because i am feeling tired and aching, should i have tomorrow off aswell if i still feel this way? i feel gulity when i dont train.

is this too much training for my body to recover or does it look ok?

not too bad of a routine. if you have been gradually stepping up your workout and you finally started doing this routine, it should not be a problem. instead of asking yourself if you're over training, ask if you are getting proper nutrition, are you drinking enough liquids, are you sleeping enough? if all those are yes and you know you are not sick, your body may be getting over trained.

    -good luck

      Thanks i usually get around 8-9 hours sleep but seem to wake up in the middle of the night, its rather annoying, and my diet consists mainly of;

      porrige, museli for breakfast

beans on toast or tuna salad sandwich for dinner something like that

then for tea usually chicken , turkey pasta or jacket potato, salad

then i have some cereal at night time

couple pieces of fruit throughout the day

      ????
