  • Comments Thread For: Mayweather Sr. Discusses Bey's Stoppage Loss To Molina

The night of Friday, July 19 will likely be stuck in Mickey Bey’s head for quite a while.

Facing off with the always-rugged John Molina Jr. inside of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Bey had boxed an excellent fight over the course of nine and a half rounds before a barrage of punches from Molina had him in trouble.

Despite still standing on his feet, referee Vic Drakulich would jump in to stop the fight with a little over a minute remaining, granting Molina with the improbable comeback victory while Bey was dealt his first defeat.

In the post-fight aftermath, a discouraged Bey expressed his displeasure with both Drakulich’s officiating throughout the contest as well as his opinion of what he felt was a premature stoppage. [Click Here To Read More]

Enough excuses, your boy ate hardcore power punches and was out ........he didn't have the experience to deal with it.

Karma for being a drug cheat.

Got literally didn't know where he was after that brutal KO. And they had the audacity to put out an article on FH about how Bey felt the ref was against him

I think at one point he even said he felt like he was fighting 3 different people at once.

Good stoppage, he was taking very hard shots and wasn't defending himself.

I saw him try that rolling the shoulders bit. Looked silly. Mayweather should know this is not for everybody.

Poor Micky Bey. Probably would have gotten a title shot soon too. Molina's career is saved. Back to the drawing board for Bey, who's no spring chicken and the clock is ticking.

He was looking sharp in there for the vast majority of the fight. Good offensive boxing skills with hard punching power.

But his defense needs a lot of work. He took way too many flush shots.

Also give credit to Molina for never letting up. He just kept on coming and it eventually paid off.

Probably was juicing for this fight too.

Bey brutally KO'd a man while having the second highest T/E ratio in Nevada history. No sympathy.
