Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer has confimed to BoxingScene.com that Floyd Mayweather Jr. (44-0, 26KOs) vs. Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (42-0-1, 30KOs) will take place at catch-weight of 152-pounds, on September 14th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Showtime Pay-Per-View will carry the event.
Four titles will be at stake, says Schaefer, with the Canelo staking the WBC, WBA and Ring junior middleweight titles, and Mayweather putting up the WBA "super" title that he won from Miguel Cotto last May.
