He's not going to achieve that by fighting 2 or 3 times a year, like most fighters in his position do.

Nah man not even close. All the above were way past prime when he got to them! No way this kid gets even close to the Great Chavez. Not gonna happen!

It's a good thing that you set goals for yourself but c'mon now.....Chavez was one of the best if not the best Mexico has ever produced, his record speaks for itself and this was in the days when the boxing organizations had it ( more or less ) under control in regards to the number one ranked fighter would fight for the title no matter who the promoter was. Chavez never ducked anyone and always fought his heart out, his record is in my opinion untouchable...good luck Canelo but i dought it very much !!

Funny **** man, Chavez jr. Vs. Canelo if they could ever agree on a weight that would decide who's the best from Mexico and would be a huge fight.

Canelo, great at beating flyweights, welters and jumped up jr middles, calls out no one that is truly in his weight class though. What a coincidence Williams and Kirkland never faced him.

Im a Canelo fan no doubt but I thought his comments were pretty dumb. You can go 100-0 and you still wouldn't be greater than Chavez, that's just how it is in the eyes of Mexican fans. Also showing the slightest disrespect towards Chavez Sr is the quickest way to make Mexican fans not like you. Im also a little surprised at how lightly Chavez Sr took Canelo's comments.

They were more than dumb - they were ignorant beyond ignorant. Chavez Sr. don't give a flying fcuk. It's not like he's gonna lace 'em up & come out swinging. Jr. can do that for him, once he puts the blunt down. But then again, Canelo can't/won't face anyone his size or bigger......

Canelo dont get ahead of yourself, you would be lucky to even come close, but at least try winning against top competition so we all can believe in you.
