  • Comments Thread For: Erislandy Lara’s Trainer Breaks Down the Hearns Fight

It ain’t a rematch with Paul Williams, but Erislandy Lara’s next opponent is another tall, busy fighter.

Lara, who is 15-1-1 (10 knockouts), will be facing Ronald Hearns (26-2, 20 KOs) in the Cuban fighter’s first appearance since last July’s controversial decision loss against Williams.

I think we hear too often about weak chins. If a world-class fighter can't hurt another world-class fighter, is it because he has no power, or is it because the other guy has a strong chin? And if a world-class fighter does hurt another world-class fighter, is it because he's got a lot of power, or because the other guy has a weak chin?

I'd be more worried if world-class guys were getting hurt by fighters who don't normally crack eggs.

Couldn't they have got Lara Dzinziruk or K9. OR anyone other than Ronald Hearns? Let me guess this fight is happening because no one wants to fight Lara right?

Exactly and like his countryman Gamboa he have to go to move up in weight in order to get a fight, what a shame...
