  • Can ANY FIGHTER Do This in The U.S. In This Era?

This is just an example of how sports, politics and culture overlap.

This was on April 7th, 2001 before Naz' fight with Marco Antonio Barrera.

    How times change.

Of course, Barrera was masterful that night. Kept working that jab, and moving to his left, away from Naz' left hand:

I definitely don't think Amir Khan could do this.

          9/11 changed everything.

This didn't even really register with the crowd. Appropriately so. Nothing wrong with it.

But if done today, he would alienate A LOT of fans.

Times have changed. I'm sure now, anyone who would even attempts such a thing would be investigated by the FBI.

                No way in hell.

September 11, 2001 change the way this country views the Muslim community, right or wrong, it just did.

If someone did this, he'd be investigated by the CIA or some s**t, and have people on him 24/7.

Bait thread. No you can't do that in this era. Just like an American couldn't box in Iran and praise the Lord, Jesus Christ. Or praise atheism.

                  Two sides to every coin.
