Leon Margules, co-promoter of now IBF #2 super featherweight contender Rances "Kid Blast" Barthelemy (18-0, 11 KOs) says he feels the level of controversy after Barthelemy's close, but deserved, 12-round unanimous (115-113, 116-112, 116-112) decision over Arash Usmanee on Friday night at Stage 305 in the Magic City Casino in Miami, is both surprising and unfounded.

Oh Mansour is still fighting, that is good. I assumed he may of gone back to jail or something as I hadn't heard anything about him for ages.

Its a shame his career has been wasted & he must be nearly 40 by now. He had some decent potential.

I missed the so called robbery so I can't comment on that but why is everyone's excuse or answer every time someone gets robbed "Rewatch it on mute"?

Watch it in HD super slow motion with Beethoven playing in the background while feeding a lizard grasshoppers and you'll clearly see the Cuban won

Because Teddy Atlas wouldn't shut up about Usmanee and made it sound like he was beating Barthelemy into a coma.

That being said, Usmanee won on activity, in a close bout. A clear win, but way closer than Atlas had it and the only fighter visibly hurt throughout the fight was Usmanee.

You must didnt watch the fight cause Usmanee visibly hurt Barthelemy to the body towards the later rounds badly.

I "must didn't"? Sure, whatever that means.

I saw the fight. Usmanee did well, and won. But it wasn't the blow away Atlas was making it sound. That's why I replied in this thread, as to why this and many other fights should be watched without commentary singling out or downright making up the action in the fight.

I had it Arash Usmanee (116) - Rances Barthelemy (112).

I felt Usmanee got robbed to a hometown decision, I read somewhere that the judges at the end of the fight didn't event want to show their final scorecards to the press.

Hopefully ESPN or any other big network gives Usmanee more exposure, he surely deserves it.
