  • Comments Thread For: Mike Jones Still in Limbo, Rejected Kell Brook Bout

Promoter Russell Peltz has advised BoxingScene.com that welterweight contender Mike Jones (26-1, 19KOs) is still sitting on the sidelines. Jones has been inactive since last June, when he was knocked out by Randal Bailey on the Manny Pacquiao-Timothy Bradley undercard at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Later that year, Jones attempted to break his promotional contract with Russell Peltz, who handles the boxer with Top Rank. Peltz communicates with Jones through the fighter's attorney, Eric Melzer of New Jersey-based Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis.

The man's gunshy and i don't blame him. Getting sparked like that can change a fighter. Remember top gun?? Cruz didn't wanna fight no more.

Overhyped guy. Still he should've taken any fight just to stay in shape and see if he can come back from that devastating knock out.

That's what a KO would do to you unless your name is Emmanuel Pacquiao.

Frank Warren tried to make this fight for Brook a few years ago, and Kell ducked him them. Now they want him...
