  • Comments Thread For: Emanuel Steward Reveals David Haye's Big Flaw, Gifts

Emanuel Steward, the trainer of WBO/IBO/WBA/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, discussed the flaws and strengths of David Haye, who Wladimir easily decisioned over twelve rounds last Saturday in Hamburg, Germany. According to Steward, Haye's balance is the British boxer's biggest weakness. After reviewing tapes, Steward noticed that Haye is always off-balance when he throws punches - especially his big right hand.

fellow posters take note at how steward's final analysis of david haye doesn't include fear, scared or coward. when critquing, we must all do a better job, subjectively (not personally), analyzing and debating one's performance whether it be good or bad.

Great point though, just as-is the case with all of the Canelo/Chavez/Khan/Bradley/etc, haters, the Haye-haters have ALL been proven to be full-of-****. I am just referring to the posters who masterfully deduced that Haye was "scared", not the other anti-Haye fans who just think that he's a dick.

        I stated this about a year-and-a-half-ago.....
" when that fight happens, we will know that all of the posters who stated that Haye is a "coward" dont know **** about boxing ".

This must be when I am supposed to take the moral high-ground and humbly change the subject, rather than annoying people by rubbing dirt in their face?

Nah, fuk that, all of you clowns who have never been to a gym, and yet run around calling a professional prize-fighter a coward, don't know **** about boxing

And speaking of full-of-****, that will also apply to all of the Mayweather haters who run around pulling out the old "coward" card, and yes, I will remind you all personally of that fact when your little world starts to cave in

Daid Haye,s Hayemaker right hand resembles a cricket player's fast bowling action more than a boxer's straight right hand. It is a joke,it is telegraphed it is off balance but if it lands is devastating. But it needs the opponent to oblige in letting it land. Steward is right about the off balance aspect that is why Haye can't throw combinations and resorted to dropping to the floor after his attack phase had passed.

Emanuel admits himself he under estimated David Hayes reflexes and movement and speed

Wlad was finding it impossible to counter Haye everytime he missed that right all credit to Haye

I still think someone like Vitali would not cope well with Hayes speed, unlike Wlad he is slower and his footwork is not as good

My thoughts exactly. For a cruiserweight against a much bigger guy with KO power, Haye held up pretty good and could probably perform better if he is self-critical and is willing to make improvements to prepare for a rematch.

of course it's gonna look more like a looping shot than normal and yes he will be a little off balance. It's damn easy to see why!!! Cos he's giving away serious reach and height advantages. Against a guy who is gonna lean away of course he has to throw the overhand. Since when he gets inside Wlad is gonna clinch, grab, wrestle him, what choice does he have?? Did you expect him to have a jabbing contest with Wlad??

It's not like this happens against every fighter. Against Ruiz he threw more jabs and straight rights cos he wasn't giving away a lot of physical advantages. So he looks bad against a much taller bigger man, who himself was tentative to engage and content on popping jabs and clinching. Unfair assessment there IMO.

I am certain that Manny secretly wants to train Haye.
