It was 2 top 5 WWs ranked by the ring and by boxingscene at the time. Clottey was also a title holder who got stripped cuz he chose to fight Cotto instead of defending his title against Isaac Hlatswayo.
It was a significant fight at WW. Whoever you thought the winner was means was coming off a significant win when Pac fought him.
You can hate and try to be biased all you want but that is the truth. And, is all facts.
Calling somebody shot when they really are not is not facts. Castillo was shot when he fought Alfonso Gomez, that is shot, Roy Jones is shot, Jeff Lacy is shot, Corrales was shot when he fought Clottey, Gatti fighting Gomez=shot. Cotto is not shot, he still has more in him than all those fighters.
He might not be in his prime, he might be passed but is not shot. But, then again just cuz he is passed his prime doens't mean it wasn't a significant with a significant win.
