Just because Prescott beat Khan, and Vasquez beat Prescott, doesn't mean that Khan is ****. Khan is a very good, talented boxer, with defence and chin issues. If he beats Kotelnik tonight, he would have beaten a better boxer than Prescott, and would have erased some the memories of that knockout defeat.

If Khan can win tonight, I'm very confident that he would beat Prescott in a future rematch. Because the only way he can win tonight is by keeping a tight defence and boxing smart. His poor chin, lack of defence, and ring intelligence were the reasons he lost to Prescott. If Roach can give Khan the skills to get past Kotelnik, I'm pretty sure he can come up with a gameplan to beat Prescott.

So please judge Khan by his efforts tonight, and not by Prescotts last night.

That's cool. I'm not convinced he will win. The jury is still out on Khan.

Of course it doesn't, particularly in view of the way Prescott beat Khan. Had he comprehensively outboxed him to a wide UD that suggestion might be more plausible.

As you say, judge Khan on what he does tonight. The only thing we can be sure about is that even if he wins and wins well we'll see the same ol' crap from the same ol' people about how suddenly Kotelnik is a 'bum', how biased/corrupt the judges/doctor/ring girls were, how Khan will get 'exposed' by any other half-way decent LW or LWW. If he is ****, of course, he is ****!

I know. If Khan wins he won't get an ounce of respect. It's sad.

prescott, yes. khan ran right into it. thats dumb poise!

if you look at khans record he has fought no one that rated on the world scene. most scribes say that warren got his gift with khans win over barrera and that it would of been stopped early anywhere else.
but khan sure looked good early and later when barrera was blinded.
i'm of the opinion that if slow starter barrera could of seen and got kid khan into the mid rounds the outcome could of been differant.

this is the first worldclass guy khan has been in with. kotelnik isn't an elite but his resume shows he's a serious expierienced character.
going 12 against souleymane m'baye and that maidana.
i'm guessing kotelnik finds away to knock khan off roaches gameplan
and he folds in mid rounds. and even kotelniks power is enough over time to break khan down.
i expect to see a roach improved khan early.

I've been saying it for the longest, Prescott's power was overrated and Khan is the reason why he looked so powerful. Ever since his first fight in the US against Richard Abril where he looked average, Breidis never looked as devastating as he did against Khan and he stunned him with a jab. Prescott's fight against Humberto Toledo solidified the thought in my mind.

If Limond and Gomez could drop Khan, Kotelnik will too.

Dont care too much for Khan. But remember....Frazier got knocked down 7x in 6 mins by George Foreman who then gets KO'd himself by a supposedly over the hill Ali. Did that mean Frazier was ****??
