Chagaev defeated the great Felix Savon twice, once in 1997 and also in 1999.
Chagaev has never been down, Maccarinelli was KOed three times, the last time by the feather-fisted Afolabi.
Chagaev has three wins over Ring top ten heavyweights at the time he fought them (Virchis, Ruiz, and Valuev) while Maccarinelli has NO WINS over any Ring top ten cruiserweights.Comment

If you really believe that bum Maccarinelli is better than Chagaev, who won Gold at Super heavyweight in Belfast in 2001 (while Haye was stopped by Solis at heavyweight), then you are an incredibly ****** person.

Damn, them three wins are great, what a great result.

Chagaev would have virtually all the advantages over Enzo, etc stronger, more skillfull, footwork, chin, stamina. Enzo is also not use to fighting southpaws, he hasnt fought many. And in Chagaev he would be dealing with a world class skilled one who won the 2001 world amature championships and holds wins over the ledendary Felix Savon.
Maybe Haye did take something out of Enzo, but even a pre Haye one, he was pretty limted. He whiskers have always been a weak spot, once knocked out by journyman Lee Swaby then 7-9-1. Enzo has also hit the canvas numerous times. He has also lacked stamina in some of his fights.
He was really tired at the end of the Wayne Braithwaite fight, and Braithwaite had took the fight on short notice, stamina also cost him in the Ola Afolabi fight were he was knocked out in 9.
I seem to think alot of people don't give Chagaev the full credit he deserves. He was a world class amature who like I said beat the legendary Felix Savon twice and was one of the most accomplished heavyweight amature heavyweights of all time.
In the Pro Ranks he has not yet tasted defeat in 26 bouts. He holds wins over world rated contenders and champions in Vladimir Virchis, John Ruiz, and Nikolay Valuev. He may have accomplished much more had it not been for injury.
Am not saying Chagaev is the next coming of the Heavyweight division, but he derserves more credit than he is getting and on his best day is elite, and to say Enzo Maccarinelli would defeat him, is pretty bogus to be honest.Comment

Close decisions over top ten heavyweights are better than being KOed by someone like Lee Swaby (7-9-1) and the feather-fisted Afolabi!Comment

1) the Ring Mag puts Chagaev at #3
2) with 64'000+ sold tickets it's the biggest heavyweight fight EVER (if I am not completely mistaken)
3) tell us who isn't "****" in your view and tell us exactly why your choice has a better resumee.Comment

ALL those tickets were sold before Wlad had signed to fight Chagaev.
They sold those tickets on the basis Wlad was fighting Haye.
