Why Gomez Will KTFO Cotto!

Well here are my reasons for why Gomez will beat the hell out of cotto roboto.

1: Gatti has a much better chin than Cotto and Gomez KO'ed Gatti so he will be able to hurt Cotto with any good punches he lands.

2: Gomez is a much better athelete and has a great jab that will stop the robot from getting to his body/nutsack.

3: Zab Judah hurt him and Gomez can punch harder than Zab

4: Cotto will not take him seriously and will be caught cold with a super powerful straight right hand like Gatti and will get put on his metal ass

remember you heard it here first.

And how would we know that Gomez hits harder than Zab? Gomez is slower than Cotto. Gomez's only chance is probably winnin a slugfest.

well I have tickets for this fight. I hope it turns out good, I went to the boardwalk to see him fight before, on the under card of Klitschko-Peter and Cotto was in a war that night, he fought a guy named Ricardo Torres that night who brought in a glossy 28-0 record....there were a few moments during that fight when all the Cotto fans in the audience were pretty quiet.


I Like both fighters &have met Gomez, he's a nice guy, a tough kid. Should be a good night.

I don't understand why Cotto even bothered with this fight. Apparently no one wants to fight Cotto, because I am sure that if one of the "elite" fighters would've called him out, he would've taken the fight instead of fighting a reality show participant. Don't get me wrong I like Gomez because he looks like a really nice dude, but in reality Cotto will be to much for him.

Ok, after 5 minutes of non-stop laughing, I'm ready to post a reply.

1. Gatti does not have a much better chin than Cotto. Remember how Gatti looked against Baldomir, a man with a KO percentage of 21% (13KOs in 61 fights)? Gomez isn't much better at 8KOs in 23 fights so we can take for granted that Gatti just doesn't have a beard at 147. He's too small for Welterweight. Meanwhile, Cotto has not been so much as bothered in his fights with Zab and Mosley, who punch much, much harder than Gomez could hit with a sledgehammer.

2. Gomez has a decent jab, not a great jab. But Cotto isn't Trinidad and he won't be foiled by one punch. Paulie has a much better jab than Gomez and it didn't stop Miguel one bit.

3. Just ridiculous. If you truly think that Alfonso hits harder than Zab, I have some ocean-front property in Arizona to sell you.

4. Cotto might not take him seriously but we haven't seen this attitude from Cotto before and I don't expect to see it now. He's never underestimated an opponent and I doubt Gomez will be the first.

You're a Cotto hater, and that's cool, but at least look at things objectively and realize that Cotto is the far superior fighter. If you want to root for Gomez, that's fine, just don't bet your house on it (or look like an idiot with posts like this).
