Fair enough, but there hasn't actually been any Global Warming (what the thread is about) since the late 90's anyway. Which is probably why you mention Climate Change 4 times in your next post, in a feeble attempt at misdirection.

Unfortunately they've been brought mainstream by Al Gore's strangely popular, fallacious propaganda film. The one that has increased his net worth immensely.

No evidence of this whatsoever.
Of course not. Well except for the fact that the IRS's Lois Lerner (head of the IRS division that oversees tax-exempt groups) apologized already for doing so:

The groups, which enjoyed tax-exempt status under the internal revenue code, were singled out for additional scrutiny of their tax exemption if their names included the words "tea party" or "patriot." In several cases, the groups were asked to provide a list of donors for review, usually a violation of IRS policy.

"That was wrong. That was absolutely incorrect, it was insensitive, and it was inappropriate. That's not how we go about selecting cases," said Lois Lerner, the head of the IRS division that oversees tax-exempt groups. "The IRS would like to apologize for that."

just as the Inspector General's office was about to conclude its investigation into the IRS for such practices. The same Lois Lerner who subsequently pleaded the 5th (Amendment) before Congress and then went on administrative leave.

Speaking of the IG investigation:

Treasury Inspector for Tax Administration General J. Russell George told the Senate Finance Committee on Tuesday that the IRS messed up badly when it targeted conservative groups for heightened scrutiny.

"In closing, the IRS demonstrated gross mismanagement," he said. "The allegations were substantiated and raise troubling questions about whether the IRS have effective management oversight and control, at least in the exempt organizations function."

Not forgetting of course the fact that this activity emerged among the front-line IRS agents and once the higher ups learned about it the practise was forbidden.
By then the damage had been done.

In February 2010, the Champaign Tea Party in Illinois received approval of its tax-exempt status from the IRS in 90 days, no questions asked.

That was the month before the Internal Revenue Service started singling out Tea Party groups for special treatment. There wouldn't be another Tea Party application approved for 27 months.

In that time, the IRS approved perhaps dozens of applications from similar liberal and progressive groups, a USA TODAY review of IRS data shows.

Nope, nothing to see here folks. Move along.

And that this prohibition occurred before the GOP started its little tantrum.
The GOP is curious why the IG kept its investigation of the IRS under wraps during an election year, as it should be.

Oh and it has nothing to do with climate change.
Case in point.
