The whole Groves/DeGale career dynamic is fascinating......
.....George wins 'The Big Fight' but then seems to slip back into long spells of inactivity/domestic level scraps with people like Paul Smith or stupid showcase fights on the bottom of US undercards.
...DeGale loses 'The Big Fight' but kicks-on by winning the European title, being far more busy and looking much more like the complete, focussed and hungry professional.
Admittedly, Groves has time on his side and Warren's complete backing and DeGale now needs to crack-on and is working with a smaller, less well-connected promoter like Hennessey.
But there is no escaping the fact that DeGale has beaten the best in Europe and is ready for bigger challenges, whilst George appears to be fighting for DeGale's old title and still learning the game.
