Everybody's sleep cycle is different. Your body will become used to the sleep cycle you give it as long as it is regular. Try and set a specific time for sleep each night and wake up to an alarm (if you're looking to cut back to 6-8 hours). After a couple of weeks you'll probably be adjusted.

Good answer though. I was just going to say that I find as I get older I need less and less sleep.
