Also, TS, how the hell was TDKR ending confusing? Did they need to actually write out an explanation and superimpose it over the screen for you?
Of course, open endings at times can be due to sloppy writing or film making, but usually it's to make you think a little bit, to get into what the point of the film is. I like that, I actually feel like I've got my money's worth more
when I walk away with something to think about.
The Dark Knight Rises ending was simple.
Batman fixes the autopilot on the bat-wing.
Ejects before it explodes.
Escapes to Europe.
Goes to cafe, see's Alfred.
I don't see why people regard Batman as open ended. It's clear cut.
