1. When you copy and paste (copy other people's words) it's nice etiquette to link and source them
2. Google as a company has always been about EVERYONE using their products. They're not on a high horse like apple who over price their products intentionally and sell a culture/style before substance. That is why they have an OS that all manufacturers and carriers can offer to the wide diversity of customers from low end to high end. Google has given the chance for people who can't afford $200 top of line phones, to be able to afford a smart phone. So you as a consumer saying that having too many choices is stupid, only shows how stupid you really are. A consumer without choices is a prisoner that will be taken advantage of. Android/Google is all about choices. Shoot when you download Google Chrome for your PC, Google even gives you the option to select the default search engine you would like to use. If Google was like Apple they'd force you to use Google search as the default search engine and their be no way around it.
3. Fragmentation is good! So is having choices and you can't have one without the other. The few people like myself who are very geeky buy Galaxy Nexus phones. We get software updates that bring new technology and features twice a year!!! Most other Android users don't care to have the most cutting edge technology, although most Android users do want something that is dummied down like the iphone
4. The fact that not a lot of phones run ICS is really not a bad thing. Only Apple nerds use this stupid argument, yet they conveniently leave out that even androids "old" gingerbread 2.3 software, is a lot more advanced and innovating than iOS5, so again where's the problem?
It's like a Toyota Prius, poking fun at a V8 Supercharged Camero, because the camero is still running last years supercharger
