  • Comments Thread For: Pacquiao, Roach Differ on The Exact Plan For Return

Former champion Manny Pacquiao (54-5-2, 38KOs) is ready to return to the ring in either April or May, but his trainer Freddie Roach is recommending a longer period of rest.
Last Saturday in Las Vegas, Pacquiao was brutally knocked out in the sixth round of his fourth fight with Juan Manuel Marquez.

Pacquiao doesn't care about the return opponent; he just wants to get back in the ring. He doesn't have a problem with returning in April or May. Top Rank had previously reserved a date of April 20th for Pacquiao, with Brandon Rios as the tentative opponent.

¿Did Roach give Marquéz that $2,000(or an amount somewhere in that line) he claims he always had in his pocket for who ever knocked Paquiao down? Marquéz should get an extra 2K for knocking him down twice(the 2nd time, OUT!)..

Never liked Mannys fighting style or his bs humble shtick but there's no denying the guys a pitbull born to fight. That being said a Bradley rematch would sell well because of the controversy of the first fight and a Rios fight would be ridiculous action, although Manny might take more punishment in that fight even though it will probably be more one sided. At least with Bradley there's no fear of a lot of punishment cuz of Bradleys lack of power.

Pacquiao seems fired up, Roach makes some good points but it depends on Pacquiao too I think he'll come back strong.
