Promoters Lou DiBella and Richard Schaefer of Golden Boy Promotions have advised BoxingScene.com that IBF welterweight champion Randall Bailey (43-7, 37KOs) injured his back in training and he was forced to withdraw from next Saturday's fight with Devon Alexander (23-1, 13KOs), taking place at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

      man that stinks,

usually a back injury pushes you back 4-8 weeks from getting back into the

      gym full time..

so a week out must mean it isnt a disc injury, which is very good..

hope bailey can win and hold onto the title for a bit he deserves some

      paydays

Moving on. At least we still get to see the Matthysse fight as the main event...gladly the whole card wasn't canceled.

Anyhow, they did a ****ty job of promoting this fight anyway, let alone, not finding a venue until 3 weeks before the fight.

Maybe this will give them a chance to make up for it. Mad at how Bailey talked all of that smack, and now his back is injured.

All is forgiven though...as we all know, athletes have the highest probability of sustaining injuries in training, and that's where most of them happen.

Bailey sounds like that girl that sings, My neck, My back. Lame excuse when he talked all that ****.
