    WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (43-0, 26KOs) discussed his plans for the future with Mayweather Promotions. On Saturday night in Detroit, the first champion under the Mayweather Promotions banner was crowned, when Ishe Smith captured the IBF 154-pound title with a twelve round split decision over Cornelius "K9" Bundrage. He also discussed the comparisons with current WBC lightweight champion Adrien Broner (26-0, 22KOs), who models his style and showmanship after Mayweather.

                I still don't believe in Broner to the extent that some of his backers do. Maybe fighting in a relatively weak era will be kind to him
