  • Comments Thread For: Jose Luis Castillo Added To The Humberto Soto Undercard

Former champion Jose Luis Castillo (62-11-1, 53KOs) has been added to this Saturday's card at Playa del Carmen in Quintana Roo, Mexico, where junior welterweight Humberto Soto faces Adailton De Jesus in the main event. Castillo, 37-years-old, will take on tough journeyman Sammy Ventura (32-21, 20KOs) in a stay-busy fight. It marks Castillo's second bout of the year and the first since losing a twelve round decision to Jorge Paez Jr. in March.

Jose Luis should retire. The man gave us some great fights and was a great fighter but it has been time to hang em up for a while now.

I remember JLC when, as 130#er, the '35 he was non stop action and very good...he's slipped so badly & going up in wt takes away so much & those seeing him now don't see how good he really was...hope he retires very soon & not chase a title he'll never fight for, again...
