  • Comments Thread For: Rios: Power Will Remain, I'll Be Hitting Like a Welterweight

Brandon Rios is about the most unofficial junior welterweight he possibly could be after struggling so mightily to sneak beneath the 135-pound lightweight limit for his last two fights.

Based on what? Rios making his debut in the division or Alvarado's sparkling record against the class of the division???

What he meant is that he's been eating like a welterweight.

Yea that's because you're practically a Junior Middleweight.

I've only seen Rios buckle once and that was from Acosta after he landed 5-6 clean blows in a row on Rios. Rios' chin is pretty rock solid if you ask me. Obviously only time will tell in a new weight class if it will hold up, but from his past he seems to have no issues taking punches.
