  • Comments Thread For: Khan Vows To Use His Brain, Not His Balls, To Win Fights

AMIR KHAN has vowed to use his brain and not his balls as he fights to save his career from ruin.

The Bolton boxer has suffered back-to-back losses and feared he would be a laughing stock after being KO’d in four rounds by Yank Danny Garcia in July.

Last December, Khan lost both his WBA and IBF world light-welterweight titles on a controversial points defeat to Lamont Peterson, who then tested positive for using performance-enhancing drugs.

Easy to say, not so easy to do once you're actually in the ring.

Maybe Garcia knocked some sense into him.

Agree. Khan couldn't have boxed better early in the Garcia fight, but once he got hit square his legs turned to jelly. That glass chin is his Achilles' heel and one i feel that will always haunt his career

At least Khan realises his faults and is working to correct them with a world class trainer. Roach's best days are behind him, and Khan regressed under his waning tutelage. Hopefully, he fights more cautiously, and not so recklessly that he leaves himself open to wide hooks.

An improved version of Khan from the Kotelnik fight and the first 9 rounds of the Maidana fight would beat a lot of the top fighters at 140 and 147. Of course he'll still lose a few, but the guy is still a world level operator. The Garcia defeat was only his second truly legitimate defeat, and despite fighting so recklessly, he was winning the fight easily until he got caught with his hands around his waist.

Hopefully if Khan can get past the very solid Molina, a rematch with Garcia, or a fight with Bradley will be on the cards.

Khan vs Bradley is one of the most intriguing match-ups to be had at 140 and should have happened already.

Until he actually gets tagged. Then it's primal instincts, baby.
