  • Republican Vice Presidential Candidate Lies about PB

Well what do you expect from the Republicans.

Paul Ryan has admitted exaggerating the time he achieved in a marathon.

He claimed he ran a sub 3 hour marathon about 2 hours 50, which would put him in the 7 minute mile club. Mayweather and Pacquiao would find it very difficult to reach that time.

But it transpires that Ryan only ran 4:01:25 in a race in 1990, quite a lie for something that is normally ingrained into your memory.

Even Sarah Palin beat him with a time of 3 hours 59 minutes.

How many more lies will the Republicans tell you to get your vote?

      Politicians lying about stuff? Shocking.

In a related devolping story, scientific evidence continues to mount that ice is cold. More on this at 6:00.

It wasn't that he just lied it was such an obvious lie, something like a school kid would do.

It would be like Obama claiming he can bench 300 lbs or that he once sparred with Wlad and gave him some trouble.

Politicians are known to be flagrant and pathological liars by nature, so to feign outrage over it is absurd. So absurd that I'm not even going to bother listing the names and claims of the dozens of politicians who've been caught in a lie over the past decade.

Lying is par for the course when it comes to campaigning for public office because we (the voting public) have set unrealistically high expectations of both moral and ethical perfection for our candidates, and because of that election coverage has become so skewed and biased that lying is the only way to win.

Americans couldn't handle honest politicians. We're too ****ing stupid.

When you would so obviously lie on the little things then what's to stop you from lying on more important things. Romney and Ryan have alot in common on that regard.

I agree, all politicians lie, more than your average person.

But lying about his PB for the marathon is pretty stupid, especially the time he boasted about.
